Reader Gary e-mails the following: "We were watching the debate tonight and we are sure we saw an ear piece in Kerry’s ear that was facing to the President. This ear looked darker and less deep than the other side. I do not have the ability to capture it on the computer, maybe you or your assistant can look at the footage."

Leaving aside the chuckle I got out of the "or your assistant" part (my assistant is busy interviewing for my new personal chef and driver this morning; it is so hard to find good help these days), it is an interesting observation, and one similar to this photo suggesting Bush possibly wore one in the last debate.

I'll have to go check my TiVo, so consider this utterly unconfirmed by me at the moment (you want me to check facts before I've even finished my coffee? Please.) If anyone else has observations, please chime in...
